Bierhaus Maisshaler, Lincoln NE

Writer: PattiPatti

Located on the corner of 8th and P in the historic Haymarket in Lincoln, Nebraska is Bierhaus Maisshaler. When you walk in the door you know immediately that you are in an Old World Pub with award winning German Style Lagers. Their 20 rotating taps of crafted beers and European import Beers will fulfill any thirsty palate. They also have available some American guest taps for customers to sample and find their favorite drink. If you are new to this type of bar I recommend the flights of 4 minis for $10.00. You can pick from their variety of beers and sample them in smaller sizes until you find the one that tastes the best.

Not a beer drinker? Bierhaus Maisschler also serves sideshow mules, canned cocktails, wine, and crafted cocktails. They have a limited food menu but it is a must try. Their crafted sausages, sauerkraut, kettle chips, and pickles will certainly satisfy. My favorite is the Bavarian Pretzel which comes with stone ground mustard and beer cheese dipping sauce.

The establishment has indoor and outdoor seating on a first come first serve basis. They also have a brand-new rooftop bar which overlooks the beautiful downtown area.

One of their 2 upcoming events is Summerfest on Saturday July 27th from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. They will have live music, food, drink, and a fun atmosphere. The event is family friendly but not pet friendly.

On Saturday September 28th they will celebrate Oktoberfest from  noon until 8:00 p.m. with the ceremonial keg tapping at 1:30. They again will have live music, food, drinks, and a traditional celebration. You can buy tickets online or at the door. Again it is family friendly but not pet friendly so please leave Fido at home.

For further information on hours, rooftop availability, and tickets to the upcoming events please check out their website at www.bierhausne.com.
