I wake up every morning with a feeling of gratitude. First of all for the fact that I woke up, and then a thank you to God for all the blessings in my life. You can find something to be grateful for no matter what you are going through in life. Some days it is just harder to find, but you are not alone. If the burden seems unbearable at times - please seek the help you need to make that different. There are resources out there that can guide you and don't be afraid to ask for help.
My life is far from perfect and I have my daily challenges. Sometimes it is the aches that comes with aging, and other times it is as crazy as forgetting to put the cup under the coffee maker! My children aren't perfect, my grandchildren aren't perfect, and my husband is not perfect (he is pretty close though). But, I have my health, a roof over my head, a family that I love, good friends, and the opportunity to discover my next chapter.
I am fortunate now to know more of what I want out of life. Lately it is really just the simpler things. I love good food, a sunny day, a conversation with a true friend, time with family, a good cup of coffee, and a great tasting martini. I sometimes look at the world with a whole new perspective. There is a sense of urgency within me to see what is in this vast world. I have this new opportunity to fulfill some life long dreams and it is time for me to get it started.
I compare my life to the seasons of the year. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. I have come to realize that I am in the Fall of my life and I want to make this one of my best seasons yet! No matter what season you find yourself in - I encourage you to do the best you can do to fulfill what is important to you in this life.
Remember to always be grateful.
Until we talk again.........
