I have been wanting to try this Martini place in Omaha's downtown Capitol District and finally got the chance. How can you not love a bar that dedicates itself to serving some of the best martinis around, and has more than 100 varieties to choose from? I was in hog heaven or maybe I should say martini heaven!

The Stuffed Olive began as a small and cozy martini bar in the corner of the historic Blackhawk Hotel in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where it became a favorite among the locals. They expanded the bar in 2005 and added shared plates, flatbreads, and other small bites. The business then expanded to Iowa City in 2022, and finally opened it's doors in Omaha in 2023. A fourth location was also opened in July 2024 in Madison, Wisconsin. Their handcrafted martinis, premium tapas, and clever small plates menu became a hit and the bars are thriving to this day.

During my visit I, of course, first had a dirty martini that was absolutely perfect. My "Dirty Bird Martini" was Gray Goose, olive brine, and my choice of over 10 olives to add. It was well shaken and poured into a chilled glass, accompanied by Prosciutto and Provolone stuffed olives - the absolutely perfect combination! I decided to then try some of the bites and you could choose from Charcuterie Boards, Flatbreads, Cajun Salmon Sliders, Steak Skewers, Creamy Crab Dip, and one of my favorites- "Fried Stuff Olives". There were even more different plates to choose from and everything was tasty! One of their more unique items was a sample platter of all of the ten stuffed olives they feature. A list of those is in one of the pictures below. They are pretty creative with some of the stuffings! Along with all of this they also serve Mocktails, Wine, Beer, and Premium Cocktails. There is truly something that would fit anyone's palate.

Drink specials are available. On Bogo Mondays, you buy one martini and get the second one for a penny. Tuesday through Thursday there is 25% off all food items until 6:00 p.m and Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 p.m. to close they offer $8.00 prices for almost all their martinis. Occasionally they will have watch parties for shows like Dancing With the Stars, and will offer 50% off all wines. My favorite is the Tiny Tinis. Each month they offer 3 mini martinis from their list, for example - the September Flight is "Flannels and Flights" which includes flavors like Whiskey Candy Apple, Chai-tini Green Tea, Hemmingway Spiced Pear, and August Moon.

The Stuffed Olive is located at 1140 Capitol Avenue and they are open Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. A brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. They do not take reservations so it is first come, first serve and you can read the full menu on their website at https://www.thestuffedolive.com/location/omaha/. An outdoor patio is available and they can also host private parties.

I ended my night with the Salted Caramel Martini - made with Caramel Vodka, White Chocolate Liqueur, cream, and swirls of caramel feathered across the top. The rim was decorated with a caramel and salted garnish. It was amazing. I did mention earlier I was in heaven!
